Emma Newman's Journalism Portfolio

Since I became a journalist six years ago, reporting has become an invaluable part of my life. I have found so much joy and purpose in turning people's emotional stories, funny anecdotes and unique experiences into stories that the world can read. I also have loved reporting on political issues and using journalism as a tool to inform the next generation of voters about their options. Being a journalist, specifically a production assistant for ABC-7, an intern and writer for Good Morning America Digital, an Arts and Culture associate for The Student Life and a co-editor-in-chief for Beverly Highlights, has allowed me to discover that reporting is truly my greatest passion.
